Martin: My lament upon the ravages of dementia/Alzheimers.  A quasi-religious nod in the last verse.
It took a while to find music to put these lyrics to.  Basically, a Santana-inspired intro, bolted onto a smokey, back-room jazz bossa nova in 2/4, followed by a “straight” 4/4 chorus. The Brazilian chants were added for good measure.
